The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation is a unique, two-day cycling event to take place on June 22-23, 2013.
During this bold cycling journey, you will ride for two whole days along the majestic Rockies! Our mission is clear - a cancer-free future. The money you raise for the Alberta Cancer Foundation through The Ride will directly support patients and families at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton and 15 cancer centres throughout Alberta. The Alberta Cancer Foundation provides funding to a team of top doctors and scientists whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in your community, across Canada, and around the world.
In other words, your participation will accelerate the conquest of cancer.
Exciting news we’ve got a brand new route for the 2013 Enbridge® Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation!
This year you can look forward to a fresh course that we’ve never ridden before. We’ll start off in Calgary, winding through some beautiful scenery as we head west, before making our way down south to camp in Okotoks.
You’ll proudly cycle out of Calgary
and follow the front ranges of
the majestic Rocky Mountains as the
urban landscape gives way to
breathtaking scenery that is pure
Alberta.
Day One culminates in a special
afternoon and evening of entertainment
and socializing with an overnight camp
under the starry sky.
Day Two will lead you through more
inspiring landscape with unforgettable
views as anticipation grows and snow
capped peaks beckon you toward
the Finish Line. Cheering onlookers,
family and friends will be waiting to
help you celebrate the end of your epic
journey and your amazing impact
in the quest to conquer cancer.
